Be part of the answer

HVS was founded in 2017, setting out to decarbonise the heavy-duty transport sector by introducing hydrogen-electric zero-emission commercial vehicles. We are set to be first to market with a new, UK-based, zero-emission HGV tractor unit, using cutting-edge tech, a growing IP library, and innovative designs.

As of 2023, HVS has appointment UBS as financial adviser to assist with our capital raise as we look to commercialise the development of our HGV. If you would like to partner with us through a funding and/or commercial relationship, we'd love to discuss! Please get in touch by emailing Samuel.eng@ubs.com

OUR PRODUCT

We build high-value products that use fuel cell technology and a proprietary fuel-saving technology called SEMAS®. Experience it first-hand in one of our working demonstrator vehicles.

Leading the transition

According to Statista, the global automotive industry will be worth over eight trillion US dollars in the year 2030. HVS is at the forefront of the transition from fossil fuel to hydrogen fuel with zero-emission, heavy goods vehicles. We’re set up to manufacture in high volume, aiming to help some of the industry’s biggest corporations reduce their impact on the planet.

Current investors

As a UK-based climate tech company, HVS has received £30m investment from the EG Group, as well as £25m in grant funding from UK.GOV. In the coming years, HVS expects further significant (non-dilutive) grant funding from both UK.GOV and the European €1 trillion Green Investment Fund.

Our customers

Through our network of investors and partners, our potential customer base is far-reaching. Some of the world’s biggest corporations are in line to pre-order zero-emission vehicles - the vehicles they need to reduce climate impact.

How we’re going the distance

Evolving powertrain design

We’ve created our powertrain with the best components in the world. Because of its modular design, we can keep improving it whenever new technology becomes available.

Refuelling done right

A hydrogen fleet is only effective if it can refuel. Our strategic investor EG Group owns over 6,600 sites across 10 international markets and many of these sites can be adapted to work for hydrogen HGVs, with the first of these hydrogen refuelling stations already in the planning approval stage.
