Hydrogen Vehicle Systems becomes a member of the Scottish Hydrogen Fuel Cell Association (SHFCA)

Hydrogen Vehicle Systems

Hydrogen Vehicle Systems (HVS), has become a member of the Scottish Hydrogen Fuel Cell Association (SHFCA). This membership will enable HVS to collaborate with other members of SHFCA to accelerate the deployment of hydrogen fuel cell technology in Scotland and support the country's ambitious decarbonisation goals.

The Scottish Hydrogen Fuel Cell Association is a non-profit industry-led membership organisation that promotes the use of hydrogen and fuel cell technologies. SHFCA brings together companies, academics, and other stakeholders to support the development of a hydrogen economy in Scotland. HVS is a UK-based company that provides a range of services related to the deployment of hydrogen fuel cell systems, including engineering, procurement, construction, and maintenance.

By becoming a member of SHFCA, HVS will have access to a network of industry contacts and opportunities to collaborate with other members to identify potential projects and share knowledge and expertise. This membership will also enable HVS to contribute to the development of policy and strategy related to hydrogen fuel cell technology in Scotland.

Scotland has set an ambitious target to become a net-zero economy by 2045, and the development of a hydrogen economy is a key part of its decarbonisation strategy. The country has significant renewable energy resources, such as wind and tidal power, which can be used to produce green hydrogen through electrolysis.

The membership of HVS in SHFCA is an important step towards the deployment of hydrogen fuel cell technology in Scotland. By collaborating with other members, HVS will be able to contribute to the development of a hydrogen economy in Scotland, driving the transition to a more sustainable energy system. The deployment of hydrogen fuel cell systems in Scotland has the potential to create new jobs and stimulate economic growth, while also reducing the country's carbon emissions.
